Sad woman looking overwhelmed

 Trauma

Trauma can stay with us long after the moment has passed. Whether it was one deeply distressing event or many experiences over time, it can shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how safe you feel in your own body. It makes sense if you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward—none of this is your fault.

Trauma Treatment

Using a polyvagal-informed lens, I help you gently understand what your body and mind have been trying to communicate. Together, we make sense of intense sensations, intrusive emotions, and the beliefs that may have formed in moments of survival. When you can understand these reactions, you can begin to feel more in control and less at the mercy of them.

Our work focuses on grounding and stabilization, at a pace that feels right for you. We might use:
• Somatic Therapy to reconnect with your body in a safe and supportive way
• Mindfulness practices to help you stay present without becoming overwhelmed
• Distress Tolerance skills for moments when everything feels “too much”
• Emotion regulation techniques to create more balance and ease in your daily life

My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered as you build a more regulated, resilient nervous system—one that allows for healing, clarity, and a deeper sense of safety within yourself.
